FAQs
How will I know Compassionate Care will match the right caregiver to my loved one?
While meeting with you, we are listening and learning about you. We are already focusing on who the ideal person would be to meet your needs. We carefully choose who will be a good match. We follow-up to be sure that you feel the same way. This is the single most-important step in building an ongoing, trusting relationship.
How do I find pricing for your services?
We answer our phones 24/7 and we would love to chat with you! Call us and we will discuss our fees, billing method and if a reduced rate for longer hours of service might fit your needs. Simply call us at 320-231-9868 to learn more.
What's the difference between Compassionate Care and Compassionate Cottage?
Compassionate Care
Compassionate Care is our in-home care service licensed by the MN Department of Health. We provide quality, non-medical care and companionship services to our clients who wish to stay in their own home, but need a little assistance. We provide all homemaker services such as baking, meal preparation, light housekeeping, changing linens, laundry, and household chores. In addition, we provide transportation to the doctor, grocery store, errands in-and-out of town, companionship and escort service to weddings or other special events. We provide courtesy check-in calls and provide overnight assistance when our clients are not feeling “quite right” or when they return home from the nursing home or hospital setting. When primary caregivers need a break, we provide temporary assistance so that he/she can get the rest that they need.
Our goal is to help our clients remain in their own home settings for as long as possible. Our Care Plans are very “person-centered” as each client has their own unique set of needs and values. Learn more about our services HERE.
Compassionate Cottage
Compassionate Cottage is an assisted living residence. It offers 24-hour customized living services tailored to the needs of each resident. At the Cottage, we make it inviting and comfortable to engage in shared meals, movies, music, and other person-centered activities. We focus on putting our residents first in everything we do.
Compassionate Cottage has two locations at 1000 Cottonwood Dr. NE and 1506 Upper Trentwood Circle NE. Find more information about Compassionate Cottage by downloading the brochure HERE.
Are your caregivers able to provide medical services?
Compassionate Care is a non-medical service. We do provide assistance with dressing, self-feeding, oral hygiene, hair care, grooming toileting and bathing. We provide numerous other services that are non-medical.
Some of our clients choose Compassionate Care for their basic home care needs, and when needed, have a “Home Health Agency” visit to provide skilled care services such as medication management, wound care, etc. Our clients are well-served when they can receive basic services from Compassionate Care, and skilled care services in their home also.
What happens at an initial consultation?
Our free consultation takes place in the potential client’s home setting. A Compassionate Care representative will share about the various services we provide. Even if Compassionate Care is not the service to meet your needs, we will help you navigate other options to lessen your stress.
